The Arts Federation (TAF) was awarded $500,000 in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). TAF will utilize these dollars to provide economic relief to the arts and culture sector. As the leader for arts and culture in north central Indiana, TAF will regrant ARP funding to nonprofit organizations and individual artists from Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Newton, Montgomery, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren, and White Counties.

Grants to Organizations

ARP funds will be awarded to eligible nonprofit arts organizations in TAF's service area in the Arts Organization Support or Arts Project Support Grant categories that elect to receive the additional funds. Click here to read the program guidelines.

  • Organizations that are FY22 Arts Organization Support grantees may elect to receive funds on the FY22 Final Grant Report that is due July 13, 2022 in the IAC's online grant system.
  • Organizations applying for the FY23 Arts Organization Support or FY23 Arts Project support may be able to elect to receive ARP funds during the acceptance process that follows award notifications in July 2023.
In other words, if your organization is not currently an Arts Organization Support grantee, you must apply for either an Arts Organization Support or Arts Project Support Grant no later than March 9, 2023 to be eligible for ARP dollars.

Grants to Individual Artists

TAF has created the Individual Artist Grant to provide funding for artists to execute projects. Awardees must produce a finished work of art and all disciplines are eligible: literary, visual, performing, and culinary. Capital expenses are ineligible for this opportunity.

Proposals will be scored based on the project's artistic excellence, community engagement, and inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility practices. All projects must be executed by December of 2023. For more information, contact Tetia Lee.
