“Fallen gods”
I’m a storyteller by nature. My art is about the human form and humanity’s role on this tiny planet, our dreams, our mistakes, and our gods. As a child, I had a speech impediment and spent most of my time drawing, often falling behind in my studies. Invention, composition, and visual relevance are what drive my artwork today. Like a composer writing musical notation, I express myself by drawing. Then, as orchestration follows that notation, drawings become the final work. As a child and student artist, my goal was to copy nature. Today, I best express myself by using experience and accumulated skill in an ongoing attempt to create something not just different but unique, an experience wherein one might briefly glimpse an image in a dream or the mind’s eye, work that may enrich or delight the viewer’s imagination, if only for a moment..
