The Arts Federation is looking to hire several teaching artists for the fall After School Arts Program (ASAP). TAF is specifically looking for individuals who are interested in leading arts activities for students in grades K-2.
Fall ASAP classes are scheduled to begin in late September. (See the preliminary schedule and program information here.) Classes meet once per week for an hour and usually run 6-8 sessions. Scheduling is flexible, with class start times available on Monday – Thursdays between 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Assistance with developing lesson plans and activity ideas can be provided! If you would like to dip your toe into being a teaching artist, we’d love to give you an opportunity to grow your career.
Artists are paid on a contract basis. The starting rate of pay is dependent on your experience level and prep time required, but TAF generally pays between $35 – $40 dollars per hour-long class session.
Interested artists should e-mail TAF’s Chief Operating Officer Ann Fields Monical, ann@theartsfederation.org, for more information.
