I am a retired art teacher who enjoys the creative process utilizing many different media. Nature is my inspiration for much of my art work while utility is the focus for my pottery.
Depicting beauty in nature that I see around me inspires much of my work. I use plein air painting and photography to develop my ideas for 2-D work.
Creating art has been something I have done since the age when I could first hold a crayon. My artistic education was minimal growing up. I earned a B.A. in art education at Valparaiso University and a M.S. in art education at Indiana University. I continue to take workshops and classes to increase my skills.
