I primarily work in Oil, Acrylic and Pastel for my landscape paintings. The emphasis is on a tonal and atmospheric presentation. Mood and emotional response to nature is the intention.
I also do monoprinting, which is centered on abstract design.

Sometimes I use an actual scene or photo for a reference. As the painting progresses, additions and adjustments are made to reflect my inner aesthetic goals. Other times my work is entirely from memory or imagination.

I have always been a visual person, and made art as a child. Attending college art classes, workshops, and attending CCAD in Ohio, Schuler School of Art in Baltimore, MD gave me a traditional arts foundation.
I also studied portrait painting with Richard Halstead in Chicago.
