I create art informed by things I connect to spiritually (not religious), metaphysically or scientifically. Currently I am developing a deeply personal series which touches on some controversial issues. I use whatever medium that suits the message I want to present. I consider what I observe, and try to create works that tell a story that typically would be overlooked and dismissed. I like to use my work to connect me to world, and to help define my sense of place and home here. I can not remember a time without creating. I became more serious about art as a teenager. I earned my BFA in Studio Art–Drawing concentration at University of Tennessee in 1992.
