The West Lafayette Public Arts Team, in partnership with the West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission and The Art Federation are requesting proposals from artists, art teams, and design firms for the design, fabrication and installation of multiple public art pieces to be curated and budgeted over a span of 5 years.
The goal for this project is form a partnership with an artist, art team, or design firm to build a collection of large-scale public art pieces that are interactive, playful, and add vibrance to our city streetscape. We hope the artist can bring elements of illumination, interaction, and/or spatial contrast at multiple locations throughout the City. The locations of the installations will be determined by collaboration between the Public Arts Team and the selected artist, art team, or design firm. The multi-phase project should incorporate at least 3 large installations that are cohesive and are connected by a theme that represents the community. The West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission will fund the project over a span of 5 years.

- Finalist Notification Announced: May 18, 2022
- Artwork Design Development: begins June 1, 2022
- Fabrication and Installation: 2023 fiscal year
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, artists must:- Be 18 years of age or older and live in the United States;
- Have previously created or coordinated public art, large-scale works, or exterior projects on their own or as part of an artist team or design firm; and,
- Carry personal liability insurance for the duration of the project.
