Quite Peaceful Places
April 7 – 28, 2023

The year of 2020 rocked the world into isolation and stress. 2021 did not bring much relief. And then came 2022, with the promise of things going back to normal. But within two months Russia invaded Ukraine…
Personally, the start of 2022 held so many promises for me. At the beginning I found out I was pregnant. My husband and I were overjoyed. 21 days later, it all fell apart when I miscarried. Since then, the stress of life has set in. Buying a new house, learning about family medical history that may affect me, and we haven’t even mentioned what is happening in the world at large. If I am going through all this, I believe there are others like me who need some peace.
This series features a cool color palette and work that gives viewer a time to stop and sit. Realism with a twist of abstraction.
