The Arts Federation is accepting applications from individual artists for the Suzie Coles Memorial Fund Award. Applicants will need to provide a PDF of their resume as well as a brief explanation as to how they would use the award.
The Suzie Coles Memorial Fund Award recognizes emerging or mid-career artists with grant funds for professional development. Artists are able to use this award to support their work, including travel or participation in conferences, paying fees for workshops or classes, and purchasing equipment relevant to their practice.
This award is supported by the Suzie Coles Memorial Fund, an endowment held by TAF at the Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette. The fund was established to foster the growth of creative professionals in North Central Indiana through the awarding of professional development grants to individual arts practitioners. Preference for these awards will be given to photographers. However, applications for all disciplines are encouraged.
Suzie Coles was a long-time resident and leader in Greater Lafayette. She held leadership positions at Artists' Own, Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, Tippecanoe Arts Federation (now "The Arts Federation"), and the Wabash Artists Alliance.
