Mural Art Initiative
TAF recognizes the value of public art in the quality of life throughout North Central Indiana. The Mural Art Initiative is a collaborative educational outreach program that serves the quality of life of underserved individuals and communities. The primary objectives of this multi-faceted program are to:
- Beautify community areas
- Provide greater access to the arts for all people
- Visually promote the clear benefit of arts in the community
- Provide life-long positive impact on all project participants
- Build community engagement and regional identity
The program was initiated in the spring of 2008 as a collaboration between TAF, Cary Home for Children, and the City of Lafayette. Since that time, the program has been successfully implemented in all 14 counties served by TAF.
