I’m primarily a fiber artist, but as a retired public school art teacher, I’ve pretty much done all media and loved a lot of it. There are many creative opportunities beyond drawing and painting that folks need to know about. I am as much a committed arts advocate as a production artist with experience in both grant writing and paneling. I started out as a child, but I have trained in many disciplines in the arts over my lifetime of 70 years, often with college level credit and often with known experts in the various fields of spinning, dyeing, weaving, jewelry, enameling, computer graphics, etc. Usually I start with materials that I love and want to create something from. Once I have the materials, the project will find it’s way into becoming something. Craftsmanship is an essential part of the process.
