I am an artist that likes to draw inspiration the stories that shape who we are as people.  I love clean lines and contrast. I believe art can act as a healing tool to help us grow and evolve.  Art is a unifier.

I started creating art as a child, making drawings and several self-portraits in notebooks my grandmother purchased for me.  I later studied fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC where I also took several fine art and art history courses.  I took a 20 year pause from creating and focused on raising my family.  I started creating art again during the summer of 2019, which led me to my first solo show at TAF in October 2020.

I typically spend a lot time mentally contemplating a piece, designing it in my mind’s eye first.  Once the image comes to me I create it.  I need to fully “see” the image before I can start working on it.  I don’t bother to sketch beforehand because it always turns into something else. I’ve learned to trust my creative intuition and just go with it!
