Presented by DayDreams Theatre
Class Meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays
1 - 3 pm at TAF
$50 Registration Fee

DayDreams Theatre and TAF are excited to announce a new youth theatre class starting June 13! Shakespeare Junior: Adaptations is a summer theatre arts class for children ages 10 - 14. Students will learn historical background William Shakespeare and his works and explore the ways in which they’ve been adapted (i.e. The Lion King, Gnomeo and Juliet, West Side Story, etc.) for a modern audience. From this foundation, the class will create our own adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, which will be performed at the Wells Cultural Center on July 1.

This class will help students, through the performance aspects, find a voice to better express themselves physically, emotionally, and vocally while also stimulating imagination, collaboration, and creativity. Ideally, the skills learned throughout the three weeks will be able to translate to the student’s day-to-day activities and help when communicating with others.
