In this exhibition which was on view at TAF in February 2021, artist Rhys Smelser gives faces to everyday struggles with anxiety and depression. “By giving abstract struggles surreal faces, I attempt to give a physical target to address and grow from, and to illustrate its effects to an outsider perspective.”

Rahmanifar’s intention is to capture the essence of a place and the feelings tied to it, a place where reality melts into imagination. She likes to bring out the duality in the mood, the contrasting emotions, the enigma behind the surface, and leave room for interpretation.
